Cairo - The City of a Thousand Minarets

Cairo - Thousand Minarets

The official name of the city of Cairo is al-Qāhirah. It is the administrative capital of Egypt and is also one of the largest urbanised areas in the entire world. It has plenty to feel, see and learn.

Geographically, the town is located in the northern part of Egypt, west of the Gulf of Suez and Suez Canal. It is along the river Nile, beginning immediately after the waters leave the desert-bound valley and enter the delta region. The city of Cairo itself takes only a small area directly next to the river bank and two islands, measuring 214 square kilometres.

Acapulco - Who doesn’t love some leisure?

Acapulco Bay

Acapulco is located in the state of Guerrero, pacific coast of Mexico. It is formerly known as Acapulco de Juárez. It is famous for being one of the oldest and noted beach resorts of Mexico. It became known as the gateway for Hollywood stars and businessmen in the 50’s. The city is divided in two. The North side is the ‘traditional’ one, where people may enjoy the beauty of nature and peace, combined with the old hotels, owned by people like John Wayne and Johnny Weismuller and nightclubs. The South part, on the other side, is more modern and urbanized.

Vancouver - The Chosen One

On July 2, 2003, the International Olympic Committee selected this Canadian city as the best to host the 2010 games. Athletes, spectators, sport fanatics – they will all come to enjoy a few weeks of pleasure in this little urbanized paradise. The Olympics are one of the most wanted events, with the European and World football championships, and the honour to be chosen to be the host city is extremely prized.
