To get slim, we must have a will!

weight loss

Almost everybody, who want to lose weight, takes up their slimming program with great enthusiasm but gives up even as early as the second day. Of course, it doesn’t mean you are doomed to failure. Even if you have started and given up hundred times, there is a possibility to succeed this time.

It is essential for you to be well-motivated. How to do this? Here are some ideas:

Reward yourself

One of the easiest ways to remain motivated after all the hard times bound up with losing weight is to reward yourself with innutritious presents that you would be eager to get and would enjoy. It may be something material like a new book, or, for instance, a ‘lazy’ Saturday.

Map out aims and divide them into small parts

After gaining an aim, for instance, losing 3 kilos, indulge yourself. Thus you would combine slimming with pleasant time and will remain impulse.

Observe your achievements and take notes

It does not matter whether it will be on your computer or in a notebook, but observing your results will keep you motivated. You may keep an eye on your weight or your measurements, and why not both the things. Looking back to the beginning, you will see how much you have attained and it’s hardly probable to return to your old habits.

If you take notes regularly, you would find out about your slip-ups – taking more calories or training less. They may lead to a failure or putting on weight.

Taking notes includes strict following of the portions you have for meals – one of the most important factors for slimming. Overeating even with healthy food may make you fail. The notes are the best way to keep an eye on your diet.

Get over the ‘Emotional feeding’

To attain a long-term loss in weight you should win the battle against the ‘emotional feeding’. Ask yourself – do you overeat when you get angry? Do you have a new dessert, when you feel under the weather?

Be frank because this is the sole hope to realize how much do emotions affect your feeding and in what situations you need more food. If you don’t get over emotional feeding, it’s less likely to take control of your weight.

Get prepared for resistance

There will always be people to encourage you to leave your diet for a while – ‘only this time’. There is nothing bad in this unless it transforms in a habit. If you always jump the rails when you meet somebody, you should have a serious conversation with them about your efforts to get slim, or to keep a distance.

The pressure does not decompress with the time. It will always be at hand if for your family and friends the time spent with you means feeding. Plan activities with your relatives – activities that doesn’t include food, and make everything possible to withstand the temptation, even if you are at place where nutrition is a part of the gaiety.

Do not forget your health

It’s strange, but most people try to get slim only to look well. Only a few consider the advantages of being fit and slim for their health.

Everybody wants to be liked, but the compliments on you being slim will soon disappear. After going out with smaller-size clothes for some time, the thrills of joy will fade. Make it out – the appearance is not the most important thing.

When the motivation to stick to your new nutrition habits disappear and even a glance at the mirror doesn’t make sense, consider the health hazards you are run to by the overweight. Keeping yourself fit provides longer life and fewer appointments you’re your doctor. The smaller-sized clothes are only a small part of the advantages – the most significant reward is health.
