This former salt mine looks absolute gorgeous and surrealistic. It is located deep beneath Yekaterinburg, a Russian industrial city placed just a few kilometers west from the border dividing Europe and Asia. If you are planning a journey on Trans-Siberian Railway, you can stay in Yekaterinburg and try to visit the Salt Mine. But only few people can access the mine, visitors must have a permission by the Russian government to visit this abandoned mine.
The mine looks like a painter masterpiece, you have a feeling that you are teleported to another world. The pictures are taken by Mikhail Mishainik, who with group of friends have spent over 20 hours in the mine.
